Jen is amazing! She helped us with the birth of all three of our children, and it was such a huge comfort knowing that we had a professional like Jen with us every step of the way. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and decisive. And from my perspective as a father-to-be, she knew how to get me involved and assisting my wife when I felt helpless and unsure of what I should do.

SAHiring Jen as our birth doula was the best thing we could have done! She was such a Godsend! She not only offered wisdom and knowledge, but she showed so much caring and compassion all throughout the birthing process. I never felt scared or worried during labor, instead I was consistently empowered every step of the way. Her support didn't stop there, her willingness to take calls and personal visits helped us get through the first week with baby, which, as first-time parents, was challenging.

CVI cannot recommend Jen enough! We are a couple that tends to over analyze, research, and prepare for everything as much as we can. Even with all that and it being our second birth, we relied heavily on Jen’s expertise as we dealt with decision after decision through labor. When my water broke, we talked immediately and she gave us some tips to get labor moving and calmed my anxieties of a similar sequence of events with my last birth ( that led to more interventions than I wanted originally). Jen helped us navigate pressure from our midwife to get induced and also figure out what reasonable options were at each decision point, discussing evidence based research and asking the right questions for us to discover what we wanted to do. She never pressured us into a decision but rather helped us figure out what WE wanted. When she met us at the hospital, I immediately noticed her presence as she made sure I was hydrated, provided comfort measures through back labor and a premature urge to push, and explained what was happening at each step. I was able to have the natural birth I wanted and I truly believe I wouldn’t have without Jen’s help! She stayed after the birth to help me breastfeed and process everything that happened. Even at our postpartum visit, Jen talked about parts of the birth that I didn’t realize I had questions about, validating what I was feeling. She even provided my husband some tips on how to process his own labor experience and how to navigate parenting a toddler through this transition. In every aspect from labor preparation, labor, to postpartum, Jen made each experience easier for us to navigate and I can look back and know we made the right decision at each step of the way. I could say so much more but will cut off here and just say - hire her!!

MDI had the most amazing experience with Jen. From my first time meeting her, I felt so comfortable and cared for. Leading up to my birth, I was given helpful tools to prepare me, and when I went into labor, Jen arrived at the hospital not long after I did and rolled up her sleeves right away, ready to help. I’m so thankful she was there during my labor and delivery! She helped keep me calm and advocated for me with my amazing nursing team at NW. I will never forget her cool, soft touch and how needed it was! Giving birth for the second time will be easy to plan for knowing I can have Jen by my side. HIRE HER!

HAI was fortunate to have Jen at all four of my births and believe I wouldn't have had the same, wonderful experiences without her nurturing presence and expertise. Each one presented its own challenges or discomfort, and Jen was stellar every time. M. B.MBWe couldn’t have been more happy working with Jen. She helped us feel prepared and ready for our birth and helped us talk through our questions and options in forming our birth plan. And then having Jen join us for the birth of our first child was more than we could have hoped for! While we had multiple doctors and nurses rotating through during the 24+ hour labor process, but Jen provided continuous, caring, and compassionate support throughout the birth journey. She was fantastic in her ability to break down our options and help us communicate clearly with our doctors and nurses, all while keeping the room upbeat and positive. Without Jen’s support and knowledge we truly don’t believe we could have had the birth we had hoped for. We also really appreciated the postpartum meetings to check in on how each of us were doing (with hands on support…diaper changes and all!). We would hire a doula hands down again and recommend one to all of our friends and family!
A. K.AKWe loved working with Jen for our first pregnancy and birth! Jen was with us on birthing day. She kept in great contact with us during early labor, came to our home, and was with us every step of the way during what ended up being a wild ride and ended with a c-section. She was such a calming presence during the whole thing, took some wonderful photos, and stayed at the hospital with us until we got settled in. My favorite part was having her come visit us at home a few days later and help us process the entire experience and talk through everything that happened (birth can be a blur sometimes!).

K. B.KBI was on the fence as to whether I would need a birth doula but ultimately decided to have one as support for my husband to ensure he was less nervous during labor and delivery. We met with Jen quickly realized she was the perfect fit for us. Jen was an incredible presence throughout our interesting labor. She provided guidance throughout and really helped ensure we both felt comfortable with the direction my care was going. Once Jen arrived at the hospital, my husband was able to take a much-needed break and Jen was such a comfort to me - she has such a steady hand (both physically and emotionally). My husband says it best, "I could have said exactly what Jen said at the exact same time and it would not have had the same effect. She is worth her weight in gold." I couldn't agree more - Jen was there for both of us in the way that each of us needed. She was also incredibly generous with her time postpartum and answered many of our frantic new parent questions in the days following arriving home. We have utilized their postpartum doula care as well and have loved the flexibility and care.

Maybe even more important they are both very kind and caring people who really make you feel supported and cared for during your whole birthing story.
